TAKING CARE OF YOU - IS TAKING CARE OF THEM.

Comprehensive Movement Analysis for Competitive Riders

"Keep your heels down. Sit up straight. Don't look down!" How many times have you shouted these words across the arena - or had them shouted at you? Are you frustrated with your student's inability to make lasting improvements from ride to ride? Are you frustrated because you've tried everything and can't seem to keep your heels down, your shoulders tall, your head up?  Have you considered that a rider's posture on the horse is a reflection of their posture OFF of the horse, and you can't fix the one without addressing the other?

Dr. Laughlin's experience as a student, coach, instructor, and riding program director gives her unique insights into the relationship between the rider’s posture and the overall harmony of the horse/rider team. A “problem” in the horse is often a result of imbalance or dysfunction in the rider. Using the posture and functional movement assessment modules of Kinetisense Advanced Movement Technology , she can perform a comprehensive evaluation of the rider's basic movement patterns. These assessments can be done on-site to help to identify areas of dysfunction or weakness  and provide  suggestions for improvement. Call or email to get more information and schedule a barn visit.

Kinetisense 360 3D Motion Analysis

kinetisense

Kinetisense 3D technology provides athletes with the opportunity to assess their posture and functional movement patterns prior to getting on the horse. Cutting edge technology tracks the movement of each joint with a single, front-facing sensor and evaluates the movement against standard ranges of motion and checks for symmetry from side to side. A report is generated for each assessment and stored for pre and post-treatment comparison. A video capture of posture while mounted may also be taken for comparison.

Functional Planar Mapping Report

After a movement assessment is complete, a report will be generated and emailed to the participants, their trainers or coaches, identifying areas of weakness or imbalance and providing suggestions for treatment and support.
